Hello!

My name is Chloe and I write news and features on food, design and lifestyle subjects. I have a monthly column for Viva Lewes for which I overshare thoughts about life where I live. See also: The Pool.

Food

My writing for Great British Chefs includes features on Trenchmore Farm wagyu; Nama Yasai Japanese vegetable farm; The Art of Pickling; Sussex Food Producers and recipes for cinnamon buns and baklava.
I write a monthly Edible Updates column for Viva Lewes and formerly Viva Brighton about new restaurant openings and events. My guide to Hastings & St Leonards eateries is featured on Buzzfeed Food, and this piece on Stephen Edwards' .etch is one of my reviews for Restaurants Brighton.
As a producer for Chalk TV I created 11 short films on exciting local food projects and my former food blog, Gannet & Parrot, was a two-time finalist in the Britmums Brilliance in Blogging Awards.
I am now proud to be a member of the Guild of Food Writers alongside some of my favourite authors.

Art & Design

I profile a designer every month for Viva Brighton. Interviews include i360 and London Eye architects David Marks & Julia Barfield; garden expert Andy Sturgeon; Modern Slavery Garden designer Juliet Sargeant; Alice Edgerley of Turner Prize-winning Assemble; Pink Floyd cover artist George Hardie; print designer Fiona Howard; furniture artist Yinka Ilori; neon expert Andy Doig; Marimekko's Sanna Annukka; champion doodler Jon Burgerman; Mooncup inventor Su Hardy and Tree Tent creator Jason Thawley. My writing for Eye blog includes interviews with Rob Ryan, Ben Terrett of Newspaper Club and Ben Freeman of Ditto Press plus reviews of David Batchelor and Trevor Paglen.
During my MA I edited the RCA student magazine Arc and founded an anonymous art journal that features in Gestalten's Behind the Zines and Turning Pages.

Travel

I have written about house-sitting for Metro; a Craft Guide to Copenhagen for Mollie Makes and a Food Guide to Porto for Great British Chefs. Since 2010 I have written extensively about events, local history and days out for Viva Magazines.
